Uncovered

Ady and Kieron, with help from Simon in the morning, spent the day uncovering the machine and tool storage sheds that were starting to disappear under years of ivy growth. They managed to clear two of the three sheds, cutting off all the ivy from the roof and sides as well as behind each shed. Once cleared, they power washed off the moss and dirt ready for a new coat of preservative, the third and final shed will be uncovered tomorrow.

  1. Hi,

My parents have a painting which has as its description, "A corner of the quad, Worcester College Oxford, 1928", apparently painted by an artist named Victor E. Corder. I'm trying to find some information about it and figured that you guys might be able to identify the spot in the college grounds that it depicts. Do you think you can help? Let me know and I can provide a photo of it.

    Thanks in advance!

  3. The corner is on the right of this picture (http://commondatastorage.googleapis.com/static.panoramio.com/photos/original/9277763.jpg). In the College's Front Quad, bottom left.

  4. The painting is definately of the bottom left of the front quadrangle of the college. As you walk in through the college entrance and stand under the cloisters looking at the wonderful front quad, you will see the archway and the cottages seen in the painting. Perhaps take a walk along the terrace to your right towards the Provosts front door and you will be able to take a photo exactly as the painting shows. Thanks for contacting the team, Ali(gardener)
